A little about me and what influences my work:
First, I LOVE to travel. Love it. Love it. Love it. I also love a really good thunderstorm. But my greatest love is for animals. There's not a critter I've met that I haven't wanted to take home with me and keep as my best friend. Beyond that, I'm a big fan of hiking, running, kayaking, gardening, and really anything that gets me outside.
As far as the professional stuff, I hold an MFA in Creative Writing for Children from Spalding University and a graduate certificate in illustrating children's books from Hollins University. I am a member of SCBWI and a regional advisor for the Inland NW chapter.
I currently reside in eastern Washington with my husband, two awesome step-kids, and several unruly chickens.
